Prescription Justice has endorsedRyan Watts for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 6th District of North Carolina based on his pro-patient/pro-consumer stance to address the prescription drug price crisis in America.
Ryan Watts fully supports the Prescription Justice Policy Platform to permit Medicare to negotiate drug prices; ending “pay-for-delay” deals by pharmaceutical companies that prevent lower cost generics from coming to market; legalizing importation of lower-cost and safe medication; and expressly permitting personal importation now from licensed pharmacies as a lifeline of affordable medication.“We applaud Ryan Watts for his courage to stand up to Big Pharma and help end the crisis of high drug prices in America. In adopting the Prescription Justice policy platform, Ryan demonstrates to his future constituents that he really cares about their healthcare needs not pharma’s profits,” stated Gabriel Levitt, president of Prescription Justice.
“Prescription Justice believes Ryan Watts will be a strong advocate for the millions of Americans who struggle to pay for their lifesaving medications. He is a leader that North Carolina needs, and we are pleased to offer our endorsement of his candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives,” concluded Levitt.
Prescription Justice also reached out to Ryan Watts’ opponent, Congressman Mark Walker, as we believe each candidate, irrespective of one’s political party, should be given equal opportunity for endorsement. However, Prescription Justice only heard back from Ryan Watts’ campaign.
