Prescription Justice Welcomes Isaiah Cochran, MD to the Board of Directors
Dr. Cochran is the immediate past president and chair of the board of trustees for the American Medical Student Association (AMSA). He served as a key organizational spokesperson for AMSA and as an active promoter of the organization's educational programming, advocacy pursuits, and membership recruitment and engagement efforts. During his term as AMSA president, Isaiah spent a year in Washington D.C. working on H.R. 3, the Elijah Cummings drug pricing legislation.
Dr. Cochran earned his medical degree from the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. During that time, he engaged in research at Dayton Children’s Hospital to identify incidental brain tumors in otherwise healthy children undergoing routine evaluations for head trauma.
He is currently a resident physician at Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, Florida. As a practitioner, he sees patients struggling with high drug costs daily and is has a strong desire to serve as an advocate on their behalf.
We are excited to have a passionate leader in the health care community join us in our fight to bring down drug prices for all Americans.
